West african examination 2017/2018 news:

The WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL (WAEC) has disclosed that it willn't adopt the computer-based test (CBT) system in the conduction of its examination.
This was made known by the Zonal Co-ordinator of the examination body in Abuja, Mr. Yusuf Ari; According to him, despite the fact that CBT has proven to reduce examination malpractice, the board will still stick to the old method. because of the nature of its examination.
He also mentioned that the council does not only conduct examination in urban areas but also in the rural areas unlike JAMB. Again, the council conducts examination in over 80 subjects with many of them having components. English Language for instance, comes in three components, consisting of practical, theory and oral aspect.
He moreover added that the council may consider the available options after adequate facilities such as sufficient computer systems, steady power supply and other infrastructural provisions are guaranteed.
